Design Overview
The 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW offers you the ideal boat for a full day on the water.
It promises you a memorable, rich experience with a focus on safety. This Cutwater model brings you the complete package. You get seaworthiness for those offshore spots and shallow-water capability for the lakes.
There’s plenty of sitting and standing room and a small berth for overnight accommodations. The C-24 CW blends speed with efficiency, food and beverage service and storage, gear storage for your fishing gear and tow toys, a shade to keep the sun off you, and a front lounge for relaxing.
The 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW is the ideal multi-functional boat, giving you a vessel that’s as comfortable handling downriggers or outriggers as it is taking people out on a sunset cruise. It’s the ideal crossover design offering watersports and fishing capabilities.
This mid-sized boat comes with a center console design allowing easy access to all sides of the vessel, measuring 24’9″ in length. There’s a large integrated swim platform, extending the size to 29’2.″ You get high hull sides and a self-bailing cockpit with a foam stringer grid. This model tips the scales at 6,300-lbs dry weight, not including the engines.
Engine
The 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW comes standard with a Yamaha F250 outboard, reaching top-end speeds of 36-knots at 5,900-rpm. The boat takes a bit to get on a plane, and we find that it’s more efficient at speeds of 27-knots and 4,500-rpm than cruising at 15-knots at 4,000-rpm.
If you have the budget, you can upgrade to the optional Yamaha F300 motor, but that will run you another $5,250 on top of the base model price. There’s no change to the space on the transom with this motor, but it completely changes the boat’s performance, making it ideal for carrying more passengers and heavy commercial fishing loads.
Hull
The hull of the 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW features a variable deadrise deep-V design, with broad chines and twin strakes, and sharp, precise edges knocking down the spray coming off the V. The twin steps mid-hull help to draw in the air under the hull, reducing drag and resistance.
The 24-degree deep-V hull design features an 11-degree planing pad, with proprietary Cutwater Laminar Flow Interrupters found between the strakes providing excellent handling and traction in turns, allowing you to make deep arcs in your turns without losing control of the vessel at speed.
The addition of the wide chines midship provides the hull with easy motion when at rest and drifting in any direction. The Cutwater’s C-24 CW stands for “center walkaround,” and it’s part of the three-boat lineup from Cutwater that includes a dual console and coupe model.
The 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW is available in four colors, with your choice of white, light or dark grey, and midnight blue. We think the midnight blue color is absolutely breathtaking and a great fit for this model, but that’s up to your taste.
Interior, Seating, and Deck
The 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW features an anchor windlass integrated into the bow for easy hauling onto the trailer and effortless anchor retrieval. There’s an all-chain rode for keeping the boat in position in rough water, and you get a telescopic, four-rung boarding ladder hanging off the stern for easy entry and exit to the water with your dive gear.
The cushioned slide-out cooler also provides aft-facing seats for two passengers. The transom features fold-down seating for two passengers, with access to the wiring and plumbing. The transom includes a pop-up ski pylon, sink, work surface, and live well.
The bow cockpit has enough room to seat six guests comfortably, and there’s a table included with four cup holders. The seats feature comfortable padding, heat-reflective materials, and plenty of under-seat storage for your gear. The live wells and the underfloor storage in the bow make it ideal for storing commercial catches.
The high sidewalls and deep lounge configuration allow for safe casting from the deck, and the walkaround center-console design allows uninterrupted access to all sides of the boat. The helm is slightly off to the port side, allowing a spacious 2-foot width to the walkway on the starboard side.
On the port side, you’ll find hardtop grab rails running the boat’s length from bow to stern. For fishing enthusiasts, you have twin 3-hole rocket launchers for stowing rods. The roof of the helm is stable and sturdy, allowing for the installation of support racking for your paddle craft, and there’s room for a six-rod rocket launcher.
The helm comes with a standard configuration sporting a compass, a 9-inch Garmin Chartplotter display, and the chance to upgrade to a 12-inch display for an additional $2,625. You also get linked DSC VHF for communications and a display monitoring the Yamaha engine.
The helm controls also feature trim-tab controls, bow-thruster control, USB charging receptacles, cup holders, and stereo controls. Keep the party going out on the water with the integrated aux port for your mp3 player.
The twin seats in the helm feature comfortable padding and armrests, and you get footrests, and flip-up bolsters included to maximize driver and passenger comfort. The helm seat hides the 12-volt refrigerator, and there’s room for your tackle and gear in the convenient storage compartment.
The 2022 Cutwater C-24 CW is also super impressive below deck. There’s a marine head, complete with a holding tank, a stainless steel sink, counter, rod rack, and broad lounge. There are options for an optional electric grill for $1,050, but you’ll also have to include the inverter with this option, priced at $1,700.
